In this episode of Unapologetically Us The Podcast, David and Jenn dive into the things that were supposed to make life easier but somehow made it more frustrating. From self-checkout lanes, ordering kiosks, delivery apps, and scan-and-go shopping to the everyday annoyances of parking lots, grocery stores, restaurants, and traffic, they break down the conveniences that may have actually made modern life worse.

They also discuss viral internet stories, reality TV obsessions, unwritten social rules, customer service expectations, and the little things people do that instantly drive them crazy. If you’ve ever been frustrated by someone parking next to you in an empty lot, blocking the left lane, cutting in line, or interrupting your personal time, this episode will feel painfully relatable.

SPEAKER_01

Hey everybody and welcome back to another episode of Unapologetically Us the Podcast. I'm David. And I'm Jen. And so on my way here, I saw something on Facebook. I thought Emmett Smith died.

SPEAKER_00

Why are you driving and looking at Facebook?

SPEAKER_01

I was at a red light. I I knew you were gonna say that stupid shit, but I was at a fucking red light.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_01

I'm a safe driver. I might be more defensive than anybody would like. Defensive aggressive? Maybe. But I don't get on my phone while I'm driving at all. If I'm at a light, yes. Other than that, I don't.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway. Um, your complete opposite.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Other that, well, I guess not your work car.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Or maybe get it off camera or however you do that. I don't know. But anyway, but yeah, so I thought he died. So um there was a whole obituary. Yeah, he's not dead. So who was it? I uh well Was it Emerald Smith? No, but apparently some Emmett Smith that's not The Emmett Smith? The Emmett Smith died or something. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, but this came up as like It was in my Facebook feed.

SPEAKER_01

I don't I don't know the person. It said follow next to their name, so it was probably a spammer or something. So I was like, what? He's dead. So but Emmett Smith is apparently alive.

SPEAKER_00

You looked it up?

SPEAKER_01

As far as we know. Um yeah. I mean, very quickly. Okay. But like nothing said he was dead other than that one post. So we'll go with he's alive. Okay. Anyway. What you got today?

SPEAKER_00

Um I just want to touch on a little bit of a kind of an old, like in the media topic, right? Like, whatever. The whole Bonnie Blue. Do you know who that is? No. What?

SPEAKER_01

No clue.

SPEAKER_00

What? She's the lady, and I'm not even she shouldn't even be called a lady because trash. Okay. Um, she had a world record of having sex with a thousand men. Oh. In at one time.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's absolutely impossible. No, she did it. She did it in one setting. In one setting, yes. Sitting. Laying.

SPEAKER_00

Laying.

SPEAKER_01

Um, um, yeah, no. Um that type of stuff will never come across my.

SPEAKER_00

Found out that she was pregnant.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, and how the hell do you figure that out?

SPEAKER_00

Right. But here's my question. A thousand men to signed up for this. And you you stand in line.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

What if you were like the 999th guy? I'm just like.

SPEAKER_01

What difference does that make if you're she does not care?

SPEAKER_00

I know she doesn't care.

SPEAKER_01

And neither do they, because they wouldn't be in the line otherwise. That that goes to morals and and that kind of thing. Um, and there are very much people that you and I know. I I'm assuming. I'd I'm not I'm not confirming this. I'm just saying there is crazier shit that like people that we know do shit like this that we don't know of.

SPEAKER_00

That we don't know about.

SPEAKER_01

Is what I'm saying. Oh my god. So you just never know what somebody might like that might be their thing.

SPEAKER_00

Like I just won. Yeah, so it's So she's an Go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Well, if if we know people that do this shit, we are definitely judging you. Don't let us know that you do it. Yeah. Bottom line.

SPEAKER_00

Tell us. Um, I think she's OnlyFans.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Guess how much she makes a month?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I mean, $30,000.

SPEAKER_00

$900,000 a month!

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_01

Jen, if you do anything behind the camera are on a camera as a living, you're most likely making bank. If you do anything in front of a camera, not sexually, I'm just saying I was about to say, are we talking about anything in front of a camera for a living, you're gonna make good money. Bottom line. That's just is what it is. The more you take off, the more you make.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, apparently.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You coming in a bathing suit next time?

SPEAKER_01

In a bathing suit, huh?

SPEAKER_00

The more you take off, the the more you make. Are you coming in a bathing suit next time?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Next show. Never mind. We're missing, we're missing it. Are you gonna show up next week in in your skivvies?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Thank God.

SPEAKER_01

No, we don't make anything on this.

SPEAKER_00

Just tell everybody.

SPEAKER_01

We just do this for fun. So when we miss a week, or it's a 12-minute episode, you get what you get.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Until we make this a job.

SPEAKER_00

But I just I I couldn't.

SPEAKER_01

I couldn't.

SPEAKER_00

I couldn't.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

But even if I look like I an 11 out of 10.

SPEAKER_01

But like I said, it's a moral thing. It's not a.

SPEAKER_00

I just You're in history now as this person. Yes. They do not give like zero fucks given. Zero fucks given.

SPEAKER_01

Zero fucks given. They only care about the fucking check. That's that's all they care about. Money can take away a disease. Money can take away a pregnancy. Money can be a big thing. I think she's actually having the baby. And maybe good for her. I mean, she can screw until the end. Yes. So and there's fetishes for that.

SPEAKER_00

So Yes, there is. Like it doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_01

She she just make money. And never have to fucking care about anything. I mean.

SPEAKER_00

If you were a girl, could you do that?

SPEAKER_01

Um, it it it doesn't matter what anybody is. Anybody can do that. Yes, true.

SPEAKER_00

But like if putting your yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I I wouldn't be able to do that at all.

SPEAKER_00

I'd feel like I'd be like this big.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. It's not how that works.

SPEAKER_00

I know. I know. But it's like, my God. I could only I I'm I'm not trying to be gross or disgusting, but I don't even want to know what it would look like down there.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Worn out, I guess. I I I don't know. Um swollen. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder if you could walk. I wonder if she walked out of there.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sure she did.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder what the I wonder what the stipulations in the contract was.

SPEAKER_01

They probably, every last one of them were STD tested.

SPEAKER_00

I would fucking hope so.

SPEAKER_01

With a test in hand for the producer or whoever was doing this.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. There's plenty of safeguards. Don't worry.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder how much somebody would pay. Like, would the number I'm wondering here's my thing. Would the first person pay more than the last person? Or is it just like an even fee across all the time?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Are they are the guys paying to do this?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I I don't I didn't delve into it too much because I don't need my algorithm all s jacked up and seeing my search history and all that shit.

SPEAKER_01

Never even heard of this. Really? No. No. That's news to me.

SPEAKER_00

Wow. Yeah, this happened about a about a year ago, I think.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Not in my world.

SPEAKER_00

Some foreign country.

SPEAKER_01

Not in my world, it didn't. So thank God. Um. So what what are some now you already kind of know what I'm gonna say, and it is one of them, of course. But what are some thing hold on, let me let me go back to my notes.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, please do.

SPEAKER_01

Before I say this wrong. Oh yeah. These are things in in life um that became worse after they became convenient.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So, like my big thing is self-chuckout. So it was nice when it first happened. I liked it. We worked in a grocery store.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

So I didn't mind it.

SPEAKER_00

You mean working the podium?

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm just saying self-checkout in general. We worked in a grocery store when it came out.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So it does not bother me, but now it's become worse. So, like certain places, like Walmart, okay? You gotta show your receipt on the way out. Well, bitch, I I'm doing this because y'all don't have any registers open. Uh-huh. You're forcing me to do it myself. I'm not playing your game. You already know that. Costco, they don't even let you do the self-checkout. They come and do it themselves. That's a fucking nightmare.

SPEAKER_00

Like, yeah, what's the purpose of the self-checkout?

SPEAKER_01

I'll just go wait in the fucking line if you're just gonna do it anyway. Like, you know what I'm saying? So, yes, it's a convenience, but people are fucking ridiculous.

SPEAKER_00

Or do you remember when we first got self-checkout? Like, there was no tap to pay, no, no Apple Pay, no nothing. You had to go up to the You had to go up to the And check out with the receipt. Right. Um, so I mean basically you rang all your shit, bagged it, took the receipt to the cashier, and heaven fucking forbid, yeah, that cashier got behind. Like with people just stacked up. But people did use it, and I think that they liked it.

SPEAKER_01

I guess.

SPEAKER_00

Um, except for the bagging your own groceries. Like that was you would stand there at that podium and just watch, and they're like, Are you gonna come bag my I'm like self-check out?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but now it's totally different world, right?

SPEAKER_00

So now you are like running through, you're tapping, or you're just and you're gone. And and and you're gone. So I can see where like Costco and Sam's and all those places, like when they check your receipt or whatever, they're looking for like certain big box things on the receipt.

SPEAKER_01

We we did scan and go at um Sam's the other day.

SPEAKER_00

Done that before.

SPEAKER_01

They didn't even so when we got up there.

SPEAKER_00

But you're supposed to show like something on your phone.

SPEAKER_01

She's like, no, now they got this big mechanical arch looking thing that you go through, and I guess that scans your cart.

SPEAKER_00

It's amazing the show.

SPEAKER_01

She's like, oh, scan and go, you're good. Oh, okay, okay. You want to look at my phone or anything? Um, BJs, they have scan and go also. Um, and that one you have to show them your phone, and they scan your phone, I think, and then they scan some items in your cart, and then you can leave. Um, but that was the first time that Sam's was like, Well, there you go. I'm like, I could have just stole a bunch of shit. I mean, because there was two orders in my cart, how did they know?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I guess I don't I don't know. I don't know how it works. But anyway, so that was okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um Have you ever seen people like I saw this reel the other day of a little Walmart lady, older lady, you know, like the little greeter, and she was doing the um it might have even been Sam's, it was a blue vest, whatever. Yeah. And I mean, the way she would scan the receipt and then scan the items, it was it was like the damn gun had like a kickback.

SPEAKER_01

A kickback. She's like, BAM!

unknown

BAM! BAM!

SPEAKER_00

Just a little 80-year-old lady. But yeah, have you run into one of them?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Who really just love their job? No.

SPEAKER_01

Um, most of the time they're stacked six people deep, they're pissed, they hate life, and something happens to a scanner or something where they can't even backs it up even further.

SPEAKER_00

So, what drives me crazy is like, you know, Walmart, they kind of went to this whole self-checkout thing and opened two registers or whatever. But yet we still have a bank of 20 registers that are clogging up the front area. Um But if it's like if you and I've noticed like Walmart complains about stolen merchandise or they're ringing it up for the wrong thing, yada yada yada, whatever, then stop doing self-checking!

SPEAKER_01

Right. Right. I mean I guess I guess the the theft outweighs the cost of the salaries. I uh You gotta have to pay one of them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So people are gonna steal, or you're gonna hire an employee that can scan it for you and hope they're not stealing, but Jesus Christ. But another thing, like go to some places to eat, and now you have to order on a kiosk instead of talk to a person. So, okay, well that's fine. And and I don't mind doing that because I would rather not communicate with the people because half of them they don't even know how to communicate, so you know or they enter your shit wrong.

SPEAKER_00

Or but But at least if you enter it wrong, that's it. That's what I need.

SPEAKER_01

If I need to like take something off or add something or whatever, if the option's not there, then I'm pissed. Like, what do you mean I can't add extra? But if I go to the can the counter and she did it or he did it, excuse me, then then it would be fine and they can do it, but I can't do it on the kiosk. So, you know what I mean? Like, all of that, it just pisses me off.

SPEAKER_00

So, do you like the kiosk or you don't like the kiosk?

SPEAKER_01

It just it just depends. Like, I like the concept of it, but like I need all the options that that register has. Sit down, sit. Come on, no treats. There you go. Um so we're just gonna lick my fingers.

SPEAKER_00

Stop. Stop.

SPEAKER_01

She's a weirdo today.

SPEAKER_00

Stop it. Um let's get your own bookies so you can look presentable.

SPEAKER_01

And so, but yeah, so I like it until it pisses me off. And that's like self-checkout. I like it too, until it pisses me off.

SPEAKER_00

You mean until someone pisses you off?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because we know that you're, you know, not yeah, my fuse is about that long. So put them in a hurry.

SPEAKER_01

So, well, yeah, that too. Um, but yeah. So some stuff I I like, but more so in the beginning. Now shit just pisses me off.

SPEAKER_00

Do you think it's because you're getting older? Maybe and crabby.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe. I'm starting out early. Wait till I'm 80.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I I I don't know about that. Because at that point you're back to registers.

SPEAKER_01

Probably.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. You're like, I'm not doing that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, what else is uh um gosh, wow. Ordering online is great for pickup.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but oh, for pickup.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But like, you know, the the services, delivery services, everything so much more expensive. I mean, I don't do it.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I think I might have we had the this was one of our topics a while, and I was using it like crazy. And then I'm like Are you like you just paid half $12 for a $7 meal?

SPEAKER_01

Right, no, no, thanks.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, I'm not, I can't.

SPEAKER_00

So I've gotten through season one.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Well season one kind of sucks.

SPEAKER_00

Of Summer House.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. She's she's finally watching Summer House.

SPEAKER_00

Here's the thing, David.

SPEAKER_01

What?

SPEAKER_00

I will watch shows that you watch to talk about them. Yeah. So I need you to jump on board on some of my shows.

SPEAKER_01

Well, watch something that's not about cowboys shooting people in dumb shit.

SPEAKER_00

That's not dumb. Well, maybe, maybe now you can't watch you can go along with the Dutton ranch.

SPEAKER_01

Do I need to watch anything prior? Because that's not gonna happen.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think so. It pretty much prefaces throughout.

SPEAKER_01

We'll see.

SPEAKER_00

It's only five episodes in, right?

SPEAKER_01

Criminal Minds just started, so again, so now I've got that weekly. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, um I had texted you about Summer House.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Do you have any questions?

SPEAKER_01

Who are your favorite people in season one? I don't even know if I remember who they all are.

SPEAKER_00

The twins are my favorite.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well, don't get attached.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um I mean, I've seen What's their last name? Mincas or something?

SPEAKER_00

I guess.

SPEAKER_01

Something stupid.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I didn't pay attention that much.

SPEAKER_01

No, thank you. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Well, you're gonna hear a dog bark now. Because a neighbor shut a door somewhere.

SPEAKER_00

Um good guard dog. Um Carl's an idiot.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Christina, good God. She was probably only in this season.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think so, because I don't remember her.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, she was the entertainment reporter that was in everybody's business.

SPEAKER_01

No freaking clue who that is.

SPEAKER_00

Damn it! It's been 10 years for you, huh? Um I know I think Kyle has stayed the whole time. And who else has stayed the whole time?

SPEAKER_01

So Kyle. Carl.

SPEAKER_00

Carl has stayed the whole time?

SPEAKER_01

And Carl is a complete different person today than.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, don't tell me I know.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not. Um what you call it wasn't on season one when I think she came, but maybe she was. Um just say a name. Lindsay.

SPEAKER_00

Lindsay.

unknown

Lindsay.

SPEAKER_01

She might have come in season two. I don't remember.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I thought that was one of the sisters.

SPEAKER_01

No. She's not one of the sisters.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um she must come in season two then. Um, I don't really remember anybody from season one.

SPEAKER_00

Jacqueline? Steven. I like Steven.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. Steven, I remember Steven. Um but he was only on one season.

SPEAKER_00

What? He doesn't come back the next No! He drove off with his Pegasus attached to the top of the car.

SPEAKER_01

He's done.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man.

SPEAKER_01

He might have been on two seasons, but I think he was done after one.

SPEAKER_00

He was he Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And like from how it starts to what like where things are now, like, not about the drama, but just the show in general, it's such a different place. So season two, I think, is when they go into the new house where they stay the rest of the time. So I think the original premise was to see if it worked and then find a nicer house. So I think that's what happened. Um, but yeah, it's a lot of drama amongst the house.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, uh, it's it's not jaw dropping.

SPEAKER_01

No, not in the first season.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-oh, it gets better.

SPEAKER_01

Jen, people revolve their lives around season 10.

SPEAKER_00

Like yourself.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Why? Is season 10 the new one that's coming up or the one that just ended for the reunion?

SPEAKER_01

It's the one that just is ending. The reunions on now.

SPEAKER_00

But I thought you already went to the reunion.

SPEAKER_01

Reunions are three weeks. Three episodes. Yeah. I don't even know if they get a reunion on season one.

SPEAKER_00

Uh probably not. No, because it went right into season two. Okay. E1.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And then they'll start out with one episode for a reunion, and then it goes to two, and now we're up to three. And I don't think any any franchise in that home network. You're telling me that when they have these reunions, they record literally all day for like 18 hours, and then they split it up into several episodes.

SPEAKER_00

Oh dear.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Hope they have good makeup people.

SPEAKER_01

They do every break. So, um, but yeah, it it it gets crazy. Yeah, it's a lot of fun though. Yeah. You're in for a treat.

SPEAKER_00

Great.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um I would tell you to like do the spin-off and watch like Winter House in the off season. Because it it's some of the same people, but some of the not the same people. So, but it it only lasted like two or three seasons. They canceled out.

SPEAKER_00

Everett and Lindsay.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. Yeah. Doesn't she say something about making him a sand at least like she something about making a sandwich? Does sh does or is that to C Uh I think that was to Everett. I don't know. They break up, so it doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no, they do Well Good God.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You'll just have to watch.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Do you want me to check in?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and see if I remember anything. Um 'Cause this last season it's always something. I forgot to change the setting to keep the monitor on. Oh well. Life goes on. Um Yeah, so I'll yeah. Just let me know where you're at and I'll see what I remember. I think I f I think I forgot about most everything else. Not really, but I mean they're digging back into the like they're pulling clips from long ago. Oh yeah, it's a bunch of drama. So anyway. Um what was my other thing? So what are some I don't know if I would call them like icks, but what are like life unwritten life rules that you observe that other people may not that drive you crazy? Like again, they're unwritten, so you might think that's common courtesy and the other person's never thought about it in their life.

SPEAKER_00

Anytime I step out. Like, oh man, I I don't know. I don't know if it's just the area that we live in, you know. I was at a local bakery in my new area.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Walked in, there was nobody in line. There was one person at the register, and their casing is from one end to the other.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Cakes, cookies, sandwiches, all that stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Have we been there?

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_01

Have we been there?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So lady, older lady, like a little door greeter, meets me and she's like, Oh, have you been here before? And I'm like, Yes, but it's been a couple years, you know. I just started working back in the area, blah, blah, blah. And she's like, Well, you know, do you need any suggestions or anything? And I was like, no, I'm just gonna um go walk the case, but that apple turnover. She's like, tell them to heat it up if you go with that. Like, okay, zap it in the microwave. So anyway, I'm walking the case, right? And there's the person, there was only one register going. Actually, two. There was one here and like one over here. Anyway, there were people at both.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So I walk the case and I'm looking, right? And then I go back and stand where it's next up to be called. And there was another lady there already.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So one person leaves the register and she looks at me dead in the face and goes, I was here before you. And I was like, uh you weren't, but do you? Yeah, you know? And she goes, No, I I was. I've been standing here the whole time. And I said, uh, that's fine. That do whatever, but I've, you know, I've been walking the case, and she was like, You weren't here. And I was like, You want to go ask the lady at the door?

SPEAKER_01

How old was this person?

SPEAKER_00

Late 60s, 70s, like my parents. That wants to argue? That wants to argue with me, walks up to the register and is still arguing with me.

SPEAKER_01

I would have told her to shut the hell up.

SPEAKER_00

I'm so the petty Betty I am, because I don't like confrontation and I don't like being rude to the elderly or whatever. Who they are. There was a shitload of people who had come in after us. Like there was a full-blown line of people. They were still coming in the door. Um, so I go to open the door and I made it out of there before she did.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm just like, wow, you know, you just in such a hurry, we are.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I let that door slam in her fucking face.

SPEAKER_01

I would have too. I would have closed it intentionally.

SPEAKER_00

I opened it just enough for me to get my body out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I would have too.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry, mom and dad, but I mean, dang, man. Like, you were one, you were loud about it, like just absolutely loud, making a scene, and I'm like Karen. Yes. She parked right next to me. Nice. So, of course, you know, I get in the car and I uh, you know, go about my business, but she's trying to back out the same time that I am, and I'm like, this is a good thing.

SPEAKER_01

I would have just continued to go and make it awkward for her.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I'm just like, my God, like there was nobody else in line.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Nobody else. And it's like, are you having that bad of a day? Like, I just I don't understand that.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and then like other things though, like, okay, so, and I know how most of the time I do this and I know how you learn.

SPEAKER_00

But here, here's my other thing, right? When you have a display case that big, you know, I don't go there that often. So I want to see any new stuff you have for the month or whatever, yada yada yada. So when I'm done, I walk back to my my area uh where I'm supposed to go and wait my turn.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But it's just like you thought I was skipping you from back over there. That's not even where the door is.

SPEAKER_01

Right. People are just stupid. But like park, like in a parking lot, for instance, you know, you're you typically park away from people. Depending on how I am, is depending on what like if I'm running late or if I'm just gonna be super in really quick and in and out, then I don't care. I'll just park wherever. But typically we park away from most when we can.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, in an empty parking lot, what drives me crazy is when somebody fucking parks right next to me.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Like I'm not here for a reason.

SPEAKER_01

But why did you park next to me? There's 20 other spots that you park right next to me. Oh that joke. Or guys in a bathroom. There's a line of toilets and you come next to me.

SPEAKER_00

Bitch, go to the other end. Right. That's another thing too. Like, go by the other end. Maybe I'm trying to have a little bit of a privacy, like I'm trying to save you from what's about to happen.

SPEAKER_01

Or I haven't headphones. I don't need that. That means shut the fuck up. That means do not talk to me. Are they on? Absolutely not. But I wear them to s keep people from talking to me. But why does it not work? I can't. I'm like.

SPEAKER_00

You even do that in your and they'll continue to talk.

SPEAKER_01

I I just walk away. I act like I didn't even hear them. I mean, if you're dumb, I can't help you. But like, what are any other little unwritten rules that drive you nuts?

SPEAKER_00

The parking thing is isn't it? Oh, I knew that was gonna get you. That that the driving in the left lane, pacing the freaking vehicle. I'm just that's oh I get so so angry. So angry. And I wish I didn't because that's what I do all day.

SPEAKER_01

And what can you do about it? You know? Nothing.

SPEAKER_00

Nothing.

SPEAKER_01

There's nothing you can do. Besides get high blood pressure. I'm already on a pill. So um I just get my money's worth, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

I would just, you know what would just tickle me with joy is if I'm in the left lane, and let's say it's slow car, me, another car, and like a cop behind them. I would just, it would just bring me so much joy if that cop got fed up and just zoomed around and pulled him over for that would be good, you know, impeding traffic.

SPEAKER_01

It's just man? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, unwritten rule. Yeah, the line skipping thing, that that that really irritated me that day, but I enjoyed my Apple turnover. But is that what you ended up going with? Very delicious.

SPEAKER_01

Did they zap it for you?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes. I bought at Sam's, I bought some like I wanted to tell that lady, have the day you deserve.

SPEAKER_01

You should. There's nothing wrong with nothing wrong with saying that. Because however she decided to take it, that wasn't rude.

SPEAKER_00

But everyone uses it as a rude connotation.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, but you just said the words. You didn't give a meaning. Have the day you deserve. And it depends on how you say it. You know? Like, you don't say, have the day you deserve, bitch. You just say, have the day you deserve.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, yeah, your sarcasm is just screamer the cop.

SPEAKER_01

So, you know, um, yeah, and it's it depends on the delivery, but absolutely I would say something like that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but you would have probably started a whole-blown Oh, I would have. Oh.

SPEAKER_01

We would have had a screaming match in there, probably.

SPEAKER_00

You probably you probably would have pushed the lady out of the way.

SPEAKER_01

It would have depended, it would have depended on the tone that I heard coming out of her mouth.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, she was.

SPEAKER_01

If it was that, I would have said, Alright, bitch, let's go. Come on, hurry up, come on, you're you're holding up the line. Like, I would have I would have just dug in at that point. But if she was just like, oh, I was here first, like, you know, like, and not really have a tone behind it, maybe I would have been a little bit more lenient towards her. But she would have gotten something no matter what. Oh, for sure. If I was there, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, people tend to people tend to know my feelings about certain situations.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, sometimes.

SPEAKER_00

So what is your unwritten rule?

SPEAKER_01

Like, the bathroom drives me absolutely crazy. Right. Parking, it does, especially when they park where now I can't get into my car.

SPEAKER_00

They park that close out.

SPEAKER_01

Sometimes they have. And what I do is I mean, one time I accidentally didn't realize they were that close and I smashed into their car. Oops. Um didn't leave any paint. But I didn't, and it was an accident, but I didn't care whenever I realized that. I'm like, served you right, bitch. Um let's see. I think another thing is people that just assume, and this is just in general, that I'm just available for them. Like work-wise? Work, friends, anything. Like if if I'm if I'm clearly doing something and somebody, and it doesn't matter what it is, I could be at the gym on my phone, and people just come up and they just have conversation, or I'm like, I'm doing like I can't everything all at once.

SPEAKER_00

But why do you do stuff like that when it should be your time? You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

Like it's don't it is my time, but like, or if I'm in public and I'm on my phone and like somebody just comes up and starts what huh? What? I'm not paying attention to you. Like, I like yeah. Impeding on my time is just a good thing.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, like you being at the gym, you should be focusing on that.

SPEAKER_01

That is just an example. I'm no, it would be before class would start, or after class, or something. Does it happen there? No, I'm just using that as an example. But like if I'm out, David. If I'm out in public, or if, you know, I don't know, just just thinking that so there's I know a couple of people that have no concept of an excuse me or something like that. They see you and you're just available. They'd come up to you and they just they don't care how are you, they don't anything. They just start talking. And I'm like, first of all, where the fuck did you come from? Um, second of all, an excuse me would have been nice. Um that way I could shut off what I'm doing and listen to you. Um, that really grinds my gears.

SPEAKER_00

David, we have been in a customer service job for our entire life.

SPEAKER_01

And I believe that's why it drives me so insane.

SPEAKER_00

When you're on your personal time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Insane. Um, some stuff at restaurants drives me crazy too. Um, I don't know. I don't know why, like, I've like a server, they don't need to come up 27,000 times. Like, watch my drink, and that's when, like, you know what I mean? Like, we're doing just as good as we were 30 seconds ago. What what what why? I mean, I know they they want to be attentive at attentive. Attentive. Attentive. But you don't need to be like up my ass. I mean, come on, pull up a chair. Why don't you just sit here?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I kind of get that. It's the drop the food, come back three minutes later, how is everything? Bitch, I don't know. I I haven't come back in ten minutes, check the drinks.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like you know, I'm unless I know the server. I mean, there's plenty of places I know servers at, so that's different because then I see them more as a friend. So, but if I'm literally, if like we're out at I don't know, out back. I don't know anybody that works there anymore, I don't think. They've probably all been fired. So, um, like, you know, like we don't know anybody there, so I don't need a server to come up a hundred times. Like, if a server's gonna come up a hundred times, they better be able to talk to me personally, you know, and then I'll be okay with it. But if it's a stranger, no thanks. Go away. I'll tell you when I need something.

SPEAKER_00

I can't even think right now of other things that just irk me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um I mean, there's plenty, I know.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, for sure. For sure.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, a hundred percent.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I am I am completed and done.

SPEAKER_01

Me too. Alright, guys, next time, um we'll see. Yeah, so just FYI for next week. You might get a game that or something short because we are having a busy weekend next weekend. So, just so you know. But please make sure that you like and share and are followed yes, everything.

SPEAKER_00

And share.

SPEAKER_01

I just said that. And like and all the things.

SPEAKER_00

All the things.

SPEAKER_01

On all the places.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So make sure you do that and we'll catch you next time. Peace out. Bye.
