What happens when two co-hosts show up with zero plan and way too many opinions? Chaos, obviously. In this episode of Unapologetically Us The Podcast, David and Jenn go completely off the rails talking cruise stories from their family’s recent trip on Royal Caribbean, debate whether they’d rather live without air conditioning or Wi-Fi, spiral into a hilarious “chicken wing math” conspiracy, and somehow end up discussing pickleball obsessions, gardening, food supply paranoia, and the randomness of adult life.
From cruise ship mishaps and sibling vacation recaps to HVAC drama, weird food theories, and those incomplete thoughts we all have but rarely say out loud, this episode is pure unscripted comedy. If you love funny relationship podcasts, random debates, cruise talk, pop culture tangents, and millennial humor, this one is for you.
We also tackle questions like: Are there enough chickens in the world for all the wings we eat? Is pickleball becoming a personality trait? And what would you choose… no air conditioning or no Wi-Fi?
Expect laughs, conspiracy-level overthinking, relationship banter, cruise stories, and the kind of random conversations that somehow make perfect sense.

What in the absolute fuck was that?
SPEAKER_01No clue. We were all over the place. We'll just call this one random thoughts.
SPEAKER_02Or not incomplete thoughts.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Hey everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Unapologetically Us, the podcast. I'm David.
SPEAKER_02He's Sir William.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's gonna That's just gonna be the name, Sir William. And I am Jen. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01So last week we let you know that our siblings went on a cruise on the same ship that we were on a couple months ago.
SPEAKER_02I did not ask them if they went to go visit Mariska.
SPEAKER_01They did not. I asked. And it was um, well, first of all, I don't think that they knew that the messaging app on the app nobody knew how to get that to operate. So nobody knew that when you open the phone and it you go to the Wi-Fi, it tells you step by step what to do. Apparently nobody could figure that out. Nobody read it. So Shannon is the only one with Wi-Fi.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm assuming. I don't know if anybody else did.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I didn't ask her if any of the other ones did or not. So apparently I know your brother didn't.
SPEAKER_01He didn't, and then he would get lost and have no way to find anybody. He'd have to walk the whole entire ship until he found somebody again. So there was that. Um ship was way too big for him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what uh way too big. Um that's what he I guess had told Shannon that he would have done better on a smaller one. Yeah, and I was like, well But it but think about it, like with us, like I thought I don't think I can go any bigger than Utopia.
SPEAKER_01That like that class. I bet you we wouldn't even notice.
SPEAKER_02I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_01I don't think we would notice on icon.
SPEAKER_02Oh, we'll have to try it.
SPEAKER_01I mean we'll try eventually, but it's not something that I'm like, ooh, let's go do tomorrow.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01Um I where we're going on Harmony next, that would that's that's a this is the same as Utopia.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Oasis is a is a decent size for us. Um but I think he would be better on like liberty or freedom or something. Um it's a couple of classes down from uh where that one is. Um but yeah, he'd so he'd he just couldn't get it over the just the amount of people.
SPEAKER_02Oh really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It you know, he's very simple, like you know, he lives in the they live out in the sticks, so you know, if he doesn't if they don't communicate and see people for days, they're fine. Like, you know, like that's just the simple life that they choose to live.
SPEAKER_02And well he uh okay, so but that's not like how you guys have always like if you look at Nick Oh yeah, baseball, football, and they're still that way, right?
SPEAKER_01But like they have control over that. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, so you know, when you're on a cruise, you are told when you can get off and when you can't get off, obviously, because you're not gonna get off in the middle of the ocean, right? But but you know, everything is is scheduled for the most part now. Um then he ended up getting what he thought was sick, whether he was, whether he wasn't, I don't know. But he said he felt feverish, so he just stayed in the room, I guess, the third day. Um, so that was the day that you remember how he had planned out all these things stuff.
SPEAKER_02He didn't get into any of his stuff.
SPEAKER_01Most everything was that day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, but Shannon did make a good point. They got off and he got his hair braided.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's what I also said.
SPEAKER_01I was like, I wonder if that he got a headache just. And then that triggered everything else. Yeah. Um it it's very possible. Yeah. Um, and he's still not feeling well, so I wonder if if he took the braids out yet. I need I should have asked when I talked to him earlier.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Um, you know, they But did you see the picture that Shannon posted when he was getting his hair braided and she's sitting there drinking a calique? I said, I talked to her that night and I said, I said, Nick almost looks like he's in childbirth.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he looked he he looked miserable.
SPEAKER_02Um that's he wanted to do it.
SPEAKER_01Well, and when he found out how much it was, he was like, I'm not doing it. And Shannon made him. Oh, so um according to what he said. So uh Shannon. But anyway, um, but they I don't think they did they didn't do much at Coco Kay, they stayed in the free areas, you know. They didn't pay for anything.
SPEAKER_02Well they went, they did the snorkeling.
SPEAKER_01No, it got canceled. It was too windy. I thought so.
SPEAKER_02Shannon said that she brought her own, and I think they brought them to the beach for her to do their self like their own self-snorkeling.
SPEAKER_01They but they had an excursion that got cancelled. Right. So I don't they did go I don't know how far he said, but they said they had to walk aways to find like a public beach access. Um I they he didn't mention snorkel gear um at all, but so Shannon has one of those ones that's the whole face. Oh uh.
SPEAKER_02Like the the thing is the whole face, and before she was leaving, like in her and I are the same. Once we get on a on a boat, our allergies just disappear. There's no this, there's no, you know, it's just it's gone. The salt water life is just healing for us at that point. And I and before she left, like she was having a really, really bad allergy attack or whatever. And I said, shit. I said, just imagine putting your snorkel thing on and sneezing at that pill. The snot everywhere.
SPEAKER_01Oh my lord, that wouldn't have been funny. So, but they did get in the ocean, and I guess they went back, I'm not sure. Um, but he said he wasn't feeling bad at that point. It was he felt afterwards. Um, and then apparently there was um some scuffling of the room was too cold, the room was too hot, back and forth. Oh, between them two? Yeah, they're not they're not on the same level as me and yeah. We're like, okay, Antarctica is fine. Yeah. Um, you know, so yeah.
SPEAKER_02So who was too hot?
SPEAKER_01Nick was too hot, Shannon was too cold. So Nick's on our level, Shannon is not.
SPEAKER_02Which is crazy because my parents leave the house at like 80 degrees, and she's like in there with like fans blowing on her.
SPEAKER_01So I figured she would have been But she it's too cold for her because she's now acclimated to that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yes.
SPEAKER_01And doesn't realize it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know?
SPEAKER_02So Oh yeah, we're Antarctic all day.
SPEAKER_01I mean, and we were on the last trip, we never even have to use our fans.
SPEAKER_02No, which was amazing. And I don't think we're gonna have to use them this time either.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, it it did it is in dry dock right now. Maybe they're gonna flip it.
SPEAKER_02Give a little freange.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, charge that bitch up. Um, speaking of air conditioning, so this is let me just throw this off off like a one like thing. Um so I was gonna bring this up, and since now we were talking about ship air conditioning, I'm gonna talk about my air conditioning. So last week my air decided it didn't want to work. Um, I was like, okay. So just to what I always do, see if anything sucks out of the out of the line. Right. I got so I don't know how big the bucket is. It's probably about maybe this big, like for my shop vac. Uh-huh. And I got about that much water out of it. I was like, holy cow, okay. Well, it didn't do anything. I was like, great. So I kept trying to knock it down like degree by degree. Um, so I was only that way for a day and a half, but I wasn't there most of the day, so it didn't matter. Um, so then I uh on Sunday I had to call and have somebody come out, and it was the capacitor. Um, I have a service contract with this company that I do not like, and every time they come I tell them I don't like it and I can't wait for the contract to be over. Um so isn't it like a three-year? I still have two years left. It was five. Oh yeah, so I have two years left.
SPEAKER_02Um yeah, but think about it this way like he came out on a Sunday.
SPEAKER_01My service calls are free.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I have no everything is an emergency. Uh if I call, it's they consider it an emergency because of the level of it, whatever.
SPEAKER_02Well, if Sir David calls, it's an emergency.
SPEAKER_01I don't get charged or anything like that. So uh free visits basically. So that worked out. He tried to tell me that so I wasn't outside with him most of the time. I was inside because sitting in front of the fan and watching TV. And uh TV. It was, it was my cruise fan. I had it right on the table. It was fine. And that thing blows some that thing is powerful.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01That was the best decision we've ever made.
SPEAKER_02I use it when I take the shower.
SPEAKER_01See, I don't, but you know, I keep my house almost eight degrees colder than you do here.
SPEAKER_02So that's at night.
SPEAKER_01And I shower in the morning, so it's still frigid when I'm showering. So what do you put it at? 69 degrees.
SPEAKER_02David, it's 75 right now. That's not eight degrees. Learn to count. And number two, at night I sleep at 72.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's too hot for me.
SPEAKER_02Do you want to know what not to go off track like we always fucking do?
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_0262 is the perfect sleep temperature in research right now.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna try it tonight.
unknownWe'll see.
SPEAKER_02Well, you've started sleeping in the nude now. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So but so do you.
SPEAKER_02But I've been doing that for years.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I don't know, I don't know if I could do actually my air conditioner might shit the bed if I do that.
SPEAKER_02So but but think about the cruise. Uh we have that thing jacked down to probably 62.
SPEAKER_01Well, it I think 65 is the lowest that it goes.
SPEAKER_02But it was fantastic.
SPEAKER_01That was great. I mean, it was a little chilly a couple times.
SPEAKER_02And no, we made sure not to look at each other.
SPEAKER_01We got robes for all of that.
SPEAKER_02We have robes, uh, turn face the wall. Yeah. Don't look over here.
SPEAKER_01Plenty of light, yeah. Um, but so I looked out the window while he was out there working, and I saw him change the capacitor on the side of my unit out there. And he we did talk about it, but I figured that he like changed it out or they were gonna charge me. Well, we were just talking and he's like, Oh, it's your compressor. They wanted to try to charge me for over$4,500 to put in a new compressor. I was like, I can buy a whole new unit for that.
SPEAKER_02But that is the unit, right?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02He's not talking about the big thing, he's talking about That's that's the There's the handler that's in your house.
SPEAKER_01That's in the house, and then the condenser.
SPEAKER_02Like, that's the other. So it's capacitor, compressor, condenser, it's a good thing. That's all within one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Right. But I could buy a whole new unit. Right. Inside outside.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Not with this fucking economy we got going on.
SPEAKER_01Who really? Right now, I don't I'm not sure. But like, I mean, I think I paid$6,000 for my unit that I have now, just eight years ago. I mean, it's getting older, but it's not like Go buy the Chinese one that I have.
SPEAKER_02I ain't Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Well, so I got we were just chatting, and by the end of it, he was consider reconsidering his employment.
SPEAKER_02Well, David, when you chat with people, you're I you don't give a shit what you say to people. So you just you probably went off on this poor guy.
SPEAKER_01No, I didn't, but I just told him about what how his company is, and he greatly apologized. I mean, I'm sure he I mean it's a job, and he works in, you know, I mean, there's plenty of other opportunities.
SPEAKER_02He greatly apologized and didn't charge David P.
SPEAKER_01He didn't charge me nothing. So he but I was like, all right, let me just step this down degree by degree because we thought it was working. Then I looked and I saw a little bit of water. I felt water on the coils inside. I was like, okay, maybe it's gonna work. Um, yep, totally fine.
SPEAKER_02All right.
SPEAKER_01Knock on some wood, totally fine for now. I mean, I'm sure there'll be a day that it won't be. But he put it all back together and it started making all that racket, and that's why we thought it was the compressor going out. Then he put it all back together again and it didn't make a noise.
SPEAKER_02So all right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So that was my air conditioning thing. But my question to you was would be if this happened to you and you had to pick one or the other, would you go with no air or no Wi-Fi?
SPEAKER_02No Wi-Fi.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_02I can't live without air.
SPEAKER_01I so I've learned with my above fan and my my that travel fan. I would go without air. Because if I'm comfortable watching like a show or something, then I don't think about it.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I've lived with both for seven days without. Because when we had the hurts. And I'll tell you, yeah, it was it, I didn't just do it for long, but seven days, no electricity in the house, so no air, no Wi-Fi, no TV, no nothing. But I just I'm just talking of age. That and I would rather live with no Wi-Fi.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Have no air, still have Wi-Fi. Like you had that. That was the total experience. I'm just saying one or the other.
SPEAKER_02Like no Wi-Fi.
SPEAKER_01If you were able to have watch TV with fans and all of that, as normal, lights on, everything, but I think it would change your mind. I think it would change your mind.
SPEAKER_02No, because I've had the air go out for a day or whatever. Like I had to wait for them to come in. For them to come.
SPEAKER_01Um And you don't think you could do it.
SPEAKER_02And I've had well, I mean, I had the fan. I had the I had uh the work fan, the work fan, the um the cruise fan like on me until it could get there and I could watch TV, but I it's just so uncomfortable.
SPEAKER_01Oh, see, well, you're a little bit more sensitive.
SPEAKER_02I'm apparently I'm sensitive about everything.
SPEAKER_01You are. Have you met yourself? Yeah, she's very sensitive. Sensitive Sally. So well anyway, I would rather have no air than Wi-Fi. I I need Wi-Fi.
SPEAKER_02You also weren't in the middle of summer either.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_02Do that shit in the middle of summer. Let me.
SPEAKER_01That's when my air went out when I had to replace it. It was the hottest day of the year. And I um someone went and purchased a portable air conditioner. Like one of those little things that you pour the water in or whatever. No, you you vented out of the um you vented out of the window.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01So like it was an air conditioner, a portable air conditioner unit.
SPEAKER_02So there's one when we have our fantasy football draft, because it's in September and it's still hot, um, and we have it in the shop back there. Our commissioner uh brings this thing. It's like the size of the not the deep size of the chair, but it's like this tall. You pour some water in it and it blows like cold air on you. It's not like vented in or anything. A what?
SPEAKER_01Swamp cooler.
SPEAKER_02Oh, sure. Whatever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So um yeah, um, no, no, I can't go without AC. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But then that thing, when my air got fixed, it that thing went back to the store. I had nothing, no part in that. But it happened. So I was at least comfortable downstairs. And then they tried to bring me one this time, and I'm like, nah, it's it's alright. They're like, well, we we don't like our any of our customers to have no air at all.
SPEAKER_02Oh, the company did.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I think the next sentence, if I would have said yes, would have been, okay, it's gonna cost you this much. Like that these people, they don't do anything for free. They're not good people. Like, don't do business with them, and I'm not gonna say their name.
SPEAKER_02You can text him on the side if you have his number.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, so yeah. Um anyway. What do you have?
SPEAKER_02Is that what was that your aunt I just malfunctioned again? Oh my god, it's been all fucking weekend, dude. I I I can't even put words together right now.
SPEAKER_01Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_02Janet and I, we went to Ace because I'm I'm a little green thumb now. I got me I got me some seeds for uh sunflowers and some other shit she grabbed.
SPEAKER_01Where where are you putting those?
SPEAKER_02It's already out back. They just uh uh and I got a bird feeder and I picked up my my bird bath. Like, I'll show you outside. Anyway, anyway, so we're sitting there, we're discussing what potting soil I was going to get, and I was like, She goes, holy shit! And I was like, I think I just rewired my I could I couldn't put it together.
SPEAKER_01Like, so I don't know what's going on multiple times this weekend.
SPEAKER_02Oh, multiple times this week, and my mom's like, you're just running yourself ragged, you need to rest. And I'm like, I get it, mom. But it's like this is not I'm not tired. Like, it's just it's not clicking, something's not firing up here. So I have a lovely appointment set up tomorrow morning to discuss uh lady things, you know, for the the old perimenopause. So this should be real- Here we go again. This should be real fun, you know, because I can't I can't fucking function right now. You just saw it!
SPEAKER_01I just I mean Jesus Christ. Oh my lord.
SPEAKER_02I'll gala challenge on that journey as it goes along. But no, I went to go get my nails done, right? Yesterday morning. Uh Lauren's not back yet. So I had the wonderful Julie again. Oh yeah. And she said that she listened to our podcast. So thank you. Oh, and she one thing that she said was, you know, I she she was listening to the the plastics episode or whatever, and I said, um, I was like, yeah, I was like, our most listened episode is episode number four.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Of the pissing that's the pissing pants moment. And so I was giving her that, and she goes, All right, I'll go back to that one. But she's like, one thing that I noticed, like as I'm listening, I'm just like, I see this every time you guys come in here to get you back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02She's like, this is no different than you guys just being here. And I was like, pretty much, you know.
SPEAKER_01We should probably record something there.
SPEAKER_02Oh my, you gotta get permission.
SPEAKER_01Well, they'll put us on the other side.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01In the private area. Keep us away from everybody else. Since we're so obnoxious when we get to the city.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's a shit show every time. And then if Alyssa comes, it's even worse.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_02So anyway, um What was I going at? See what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_01No idea where what you were gonna say where it was going.
SPEAKER_02What were we talking uh I have no clue. Was I just talking about the Okay, never mind. I'm just okay. So have you What is your question about the w uh stop? Stop! Either or was that your topic for the day?
SPEAKER_01No, I have something else. Okay. I said I wasn't going to talk about that, but because we were talking about the AC on the boat, or ship, whatever you want to call it, um, I call it a boat until I get on the ship.
SPEAKER_02No, it's a boat at all times.
SPEAKER_01I know, but when I'm talking to the people, sometimes I still like I call it a ship because I don't want them to correct me. If I'm on land, absolutely I call it a boat all the time.
SPEAKER_02And people still correct me, but Do you remember when like you would have like toys in the bathtub, you know, and it would be a boat?
SPEAKER_01Not really, but I mean I know it happened.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Oh my. I always called it a boat. It's always gonna be a boat. A canoe, it's gonna be a boat.
SPEAKER_01Well, anyway, um, that's where that came up. I wasn't gonna bring that up at all.
SPEAKER_02Um I hope so. Um think about chicken wings.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Chicken wings.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And think about ground beef and steaks.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02And all meat. All the stuff, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And when you go to a restaurant and you get five wings or ten wings, right? Okay, so five wings is two and a half chickens. And ten wings is five chickens. And that's for one feeding of you. So if I get ten wings, that's five chickens. Where the fuck are all these chickens coming from? A farm. No, there's not enough chickens in the world. There's just not enough. They're probably not even real. But that's what I'm saying. Just are we eating lab-grown chickens? Meat.
SPEAKER_01Probably.
SPEAKER_02That's not okay with me.
SPEAKER_01Well, then become a vegetarian.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to do that either because they have pesticides and all this shit.
SPEAKER_01Become vegan.
SPEAKER_02Vegan is vegetarian.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not.
SPEAKER_02It's partially in you'd eat.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Before you offend one of these tree eaters.
SPEAKER_02Um tree eater.
SPEAKER_01Look, people just eat it.
SPEAKER_02What is the difference between I'm serious?
SPEAKER_01A vegan, they eat, if it comes out of the ground, they eat it.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01If it does not eat.
SPEAKER_02No vegetables.
SPEAKER_01Right. No dairy, no cheese, no nothing. That's that is vegan? Vegan. Then you have vegetarian.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01They eat everything but um meat. So but they can eat They'll eat dairy. Okay.
SPEAKER_02But that comes from the cow.
SPEAKER_01Some do, some don't. It's that's a personal thing.
SPEAKER_02But there's goats and yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then there's oat milk. And then do you know what a pescatarian is? No.
SPEAKER_02Only fish.
SPEAKER_01Yes, good job.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, or only seafood.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I yeah. And my office that I'm at now. They they they there's none of them, everybody, I think, anyway. But my old office, I had pescatarians, vegetarians, and vegans. And I'm like, okay, this luncheon's gonna be fun. So anyway, um, but yeah. So just become a vegan.
SPEAKER_02I just don't think there's enough chickens.
SPEAKER_01Dirt and seeds.
SPEAKER_02They were even saying that like the whole McDonald's thing and the hamburgers, that it would it would be like 93,000 cows would need to be killed every day just to supply McDonald's for like a day or a month or something.
SPEAKER_01But I'll tell you this McDonald's cheeseburger is pretty damn good. And I'll eat the shit out of it. I don't care.
SPEAKER_02Cheeseburger or quarter pounder?
SPEAKER_01Um, I'll eat a double cheeseburger any day of the week.
SPEAKER_02David!
SPEAKER_01I do not give a shit. We what?
SPEAKER_02Okay, well, what about all the chickens? I don't there's just not enough chicken. Jen, I here's the deal.
SPEAKER_01If I I need to eat chicken, I just eat the chicken. I don't think about where it comes from or care. Do I get do I do I actually get the protein that it says? We don't know. But do I care? No.
SPEAKER_02You don't these things don't ever No, I don't give a shit.
SPEAKER_01Why do you think about all these things? Because it doesn't it doesn't make sense. That's why you can't sleep at night, because you're a conspiracy theorist.
SPEAKER_02That's bullshit. First of all, it's just it just doesn't make sense. Like for you to eat a five-piece wing, you're killing two and a half chickens. Well And look at all the people in the world.
SPEAKER_01They probably modified these things, so they have probably more wings than they should, so like they probably have four wings because they're modified somehow. I don't know. Extra wings or something. I who knows.
SPEAKER_02Why that but why doesn't that concern you?
SPEAKER_01Because I don't care. Why why let it concern you?
SPEAKER_02Because what if we run out of food?
SPEAKER_01You grow vegetables and you continue and you start shooting birds out of the sky. Speaking of- You go fishing.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well what are you gonna do for red meat? And chickens. Chickens don't fly.
SPEAKER_01Um, I don't know. I don't know. I guess I'll just eat a lot of eggs.
SPEAKER_02The chicken! Oh my god!
SPEAKER_01Don't be alive, don't create eggs. I'll just eat eggs, I'll get protein from eggs.
SPEAKER_02But they might be genetically faltered eggs.
SPEAKER_01I don't care. Why, why, why oh why do you care so much?
SPEAKER_02Because I don't want to put bad things in my body. At this stage in my life. You know, for someone who watches a lot of TV, you, you just don't watch the right things.
SPEAKER_01I watch something that I don't have to ever remotely think about. I I just need to just chill out. I'm not trying to sit on my couch and learn about where the fucking chicken came from or how there's so many.
SPEAKER_02What's what was or how many might be needed. Yes!
SPEAKER_01I I don't care. I don't care about that. Well is that your stomach?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That's that was over here. Jesus Christ. That might be an exit gas.
SPEAKER_01Oh god. Um yeah, I don't care about that stuff. So you just sit here and like ponder it?
SPEAKER_02Well, I think it's more a little bit. I think it's more be excuse me. Only because think of the children. The children that we know.
SPEAKER_01Children. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02We I don't like children either, but think of the children that we know, right?
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02And think of all the stuff that is pumped through all of this food now, or that is genetically whatever. And then you have poor little one right now who eat organic.
SPEAKER_01Pay the extra money.
SPEAKER_02David, we don't know if the organic is real organic or not.
SPEAKER_01Just you gotta eat, right? So you just go to the place and you buy the things you need and you hope to God it's right.
SPEAKER_02I think I'm just gonna, you know, we talked about this before about buying straight from the farm.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Well, how many times are you gonna talk about this before you actually do it?
SPEAKER_02Let's go do it.
SPEAKER_01I don't I'm just gonna go to the grocery store and buy the bits and parts that I need.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's just like a hot dog. Like you won't eat a shitty hot dog.
SPEAKER_01I beg to differ.
SPEAKER_02You like beef hot dogs?
SPEAKER_01I I prefer them, but if you just say, here's a hot dog, the only one I'm not gonna eat is the red one. That's what I'm saying! But you would have eaten a red hot dog. You can I have eaten red hot dogs. Right. I didn't have an option. It was this or nothing for lunch. Not at my house, but at other people's houses. But like, I mean Yeah. At the ballpark, you can get like two hot dogs for three dollars. Those are the shittiest hot dogs on the planet. But I eat them all the time. Instead of paying five dollars for one. Which ballpark? Downtown. Usually two hot dogs for three bucks? Something like that, yeah. They're I mean, it's the bottom of the barrel, like lips and assholes? I mean, probably. Yeah. I mean, I tried it once, it's not great, but if you were hungry, you I mean, I had to slather it with a bunch of stuff.
SPEAKER_02Have you ever given a homeless person food and they said, Oh, I don't want that?
SPEAKER_01Um, so I had a homeless person ask me for money and I said, I can meet you at McDonald's and I'll buy you some food. I'm not giving you any money. Right. And the response was, I don't want McDonald's. I said, Well, I guess you're not hungry. Right. The light turned green and I just left. I mean, I did offer.
SPEAKER_02I will say this.
SPEAKER_01I'm very proud that you did offer because But and and that, but see, but this is how I am, though. That one experience now for the the rest of the homeless's life, I'm never gonna stop. I'm never gonna offer because that one ungrateful person.
SPEAKER_02You let one person ruin it for the other homelesses.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. Just like if I see a car accident on the side of the street now. I I one time I went back and landed me in freaking court, and I got chastised by the prosecutor or whoever it was, the state, I don't know who it was. The def the defense. The defense. The defense. And sh that bitch asked me the same question 25 different ways, and I'm like, bitch, that's still my answer. Like, never again. So sorry if I see an accident, I do keep going like I didn't see it, because I'm not doing that again.
SPEAKER_02But you're not supposed to leave the scene of an accident.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry. I I blinked and looked the other way. I don't know if it just happened or if it was there. I don't know. But the only reason I went back is because one of our friends said, Oh, but what if they're hurt and what if they die? And I went back. It was after St. Patrick's Day. I shouldn't have gone back, but I did. Um, but never again. Nope. So, yes, one person can ruin it for the whole world for me. David's gonna see me on the side of the road and just I don't think like people that I know I would do that to.
SPEAKER_02I would fucking hope not, David.
SPEAKER_01But true strangers, like I no, I'm not I I can't take that.
SPEAKER_02What about an old lady?
SPEAKER_01Do I need to?
SPEAKER_02Do you do you hold the door for old ladies? Do you uh if you see them struggling out in the parking lot, are you gonna help them put their groceries in their car? Okay. I'm talking some humanity.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I I do I would do any of that. Um I mean, we were at the at the flat track race. And I don't know if you were standing there, but when they I was like, okay, here comes a wagon full of like people and then there was yeah, on the thing, they brought a wagon up the ramp, and then they were walking down here. I'm like, um, this is stairs. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I helped the guy get the wagon down with this kid in the thing. Like, so I'll do those kind of things, but if I offer you food and and you don't want that, I'm so sorry. Then use the money you collected on the side of the road and go buy what you want.
SPEAKER_02Well, the majority of those people have like Mercedes hidden.
SPEAKER_01They probably do.
SPEAKER_02It's been seen a lot around here.
SPEAKER_01But that's why I don't do shit like that. Because I don't I don't trust it.
SPEAKER_02I won't hand any money. I'll hand a snack.
SPEAKER_01Well, and I never have snacks in the car, so um, but yeah, no, I don't do that. I believe that where are we going with this?
SPEAKER_02I have no idea.
SPEAKER_01And me neither. Well, I asked my question, so um, well, so I okay, so So this came from the is there enough animals?
unknownOh yeah.
SPEAKER_02Real life animals.
SPEAKER_01I mean, probably I I don't know. I honestly no, I don't think so. But I mean, have you ever seen like I feel like I saw a commercial one time and it was like a chicken place, you know.
SPEAKER_02A chicken place.
SPEAKER_01I don't know the brand. I'm just saying it was a chicken, how they were saying it was like, you know, no hormones, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. They're like free range or whatever.
SPEAKER_02Purdue chicken?
SPEAKER_01Maybe.
SPEAKER_02It's the father and the two sons? Maybe.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I'm just saying it. But oh jeez. It was a big field, and all these little chicks were, you know, running all around. They're probably fake. They're probably like AI generated? No, probably not, but they're probably like, you know, shot with the antibiotics just to get them to go. Because they're probably half dead. Um, because they're like created, they're not naturally created, I feel like. But I mean, it doesn't matter, it's fine. Just so, but seeing that, I think that there's enough chickens. From a commercial if they do it every day. If they get that many a day, then we're fine. I mean, I don't know if it's real or not, but if they get that many chickens in a day, we're totally fine. Well, how many get in a day? I don't know, but it it on the TV it looked like they couldn't even take a step without stepping on five of them.
SPEAKER_02So five chickens down. I mean That's only a 10-piece. So have you noticed that And hold on, my next question on that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Because, you know, we get flats and drums. Are we killing the babies?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Are they babies or are they midget ones?
SPEAKER_02Midget ones.
SPEAKER_01Or little little chicks.
SPEAKER_02How do you The babies? Oh, you mean like adolescents?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Like, I mean uh I don't know.
SPEAKER_02They just taste so good.
SPEAKER_01They do. But um yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I'd like to know the the stage of a life uh the life stage of a chicken. Look it up. At what point do we s slaughter them?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, any chicken people out there know? Like, can y'all give us a tour?
SPEAKER_02Well, Shannon had chickens for a while, but she only had chickens to collect their eggs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Those those type of chickens are those are the same fucking chickens, aren't they? I don't think so.
SPEAKER_02But we could have eaten those chickens.
SPEAKER_01I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Shannon, we need you to step in here. You comment every now and again. Yeah, comment and let us know. What kind of chickens are we eating? The chickens that lay eggs. I know that there's like some weird silkies and some other stuff, like Oh, those are the weird-looking ones. With the hair. Yeah, yeah. But they lay eggs, I think.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, we we need a chicken tutorial. And I think he'll be able to give us that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And yeah, and do we only eat like certain kinds of chickens?
SPEAKER_02Brands. Or no. Breeds.
SPEAKER_01Breeds. Not brands. Well we eat I mean, so they come, there's they start as breeds and then they become brands.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so what's the difference? You know, the white chickens that we always see like on cartoons and stuff?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I think those are the ones we eat.
SPEAKER_01I think those are the roosters.
SPEAKER_02No, roosters are black or red or brown. Are there white roosters?
SPEAKER_01That big thing, um, uh, I don't know what his name is. He's a cartoon, but he's white. Isn't that a rooster?
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, he was white.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Jesus Christ. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Anyway. We we don't run we're not farmers.
SPEAKER_01We know nothing about this.
SPEAKER_02Well, I guess there goes the the plot of land. Right. David's not David's not participating in any of it.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02I thought I could manage maybe I'll I mean, I'll sell it to you.
SPEAKER_01I'll sell you some land.
SPEAKER_02Well, I know that.
SPEAKER_01I'll have to just stay in the city.
unknownOh god.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'll your dad can teach you how to do raised back garden.
SPEAKER_01I'll just let him do it. And I'll just go.
SPEAKER_02He's not gonna be here forever, David.
SPEAKER_01Well then I'll just exclusively eat from the grocery store.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Um so there was something I was gonna. Have you noticed that like people fit in these like micro categories, like, or like they kinda they take a hobby and then they become those people.
SPEAKER_02You mean like you with F45?
SPEAKER_01Well, okay, yeah. That but I mean that's not all I do.
SPEAKER_02Heaven forbid you go to another gym.
SPEAKER_01Well, okay, so the reason I do that is because I don't know what to do at a regular gym.
SPEAKER_02Would you like to go?
SPEAKER_01You don't even go.
SPEAKER_02David, if you were there with me, I would go. 5 a.m.
SPEAKER_01So you want me to skip out on that and go with you.
SPEAKER_02We'll talk about this off camera. I don't I don't want to put anything in the bad juju world.
SPEAKER_01Um so, um, but I'm talking about like because I know you and Carrie. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I know Carrie has a second one.
SPEAKER_01No, she doesn't anymore.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Well, I don't think I don't I don't know. She did, and then I think she cancelled it. I don't know. Um, but like, you know, pickleball is a big thing.
SPEAKER_02Like Oh my god, these people are like obsessed with it.
SPEAKER_01Like completely obsessed. But they've turned into like these pickleball people.
SPEAKER_02Have you seen the ones that are having drunken outrages on the pickleball courts and getting into fist fights? No. And they've been a rest Yes, it was here in Jacksonville like about a month ago. Oh it's this couple, they get wasted and they pick fights on the pickleball court, and finally someone called the cops and they got charged with like battery and something. Really?
SPEAKER_01Where they had a place, like an indoor place, or I don't know if it was indoor if it was like the one up the street. Yeah, because you have them just down here.
SPEAKER_02Hmm.
SPEAKER_01Interesting.
SPEAKER_02But have you played?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02I played like with a list in the kids or whatever.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Um I never have. I would like to. Maybe I can become a.
SPEAKER_02Have you played tennis before?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I took tennis lessons as a kid.
SPEAKER_02I beg your finest pardon. And you just didn't follow through?
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Um, it's not like swinging of the racket.
SPEAKER_01Because isn't it all underhand? It should be.
SPEAKER_02I think it's I think it should be.
SPEAKER_01It yeah. You're not supposed to do anything overhand, is what I've been told.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_01But I don't know. I mean.
SPEAKER_02I've played ping pong.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And you know how you can get a little violent with ping pong. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think there there is no with a w a pickleball.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Well, I've never played it.
SPEAKER_02I know Alyssa has paddles.
SPEAKER_01Apparently, we're gonna have a tournament soon at my office. Not at my office.
SPEAKER_02Oh, all those people know how to play pickleball?
SPEAKER_01I guess. I don't know. There's a couple of them. Sweet Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Somebody record this shit. I guess I gotta see this one because the uh the the noise That's what you're gonna do.
SPEAKER_01I probably would. I mean, I I made noises when I played tennis.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm talking about like you trying to get there.
SPEAKER_01Uh but isn't the court smaller?
SPEAKER_02Uh isn't it like it's yes, but the the ball, it's it's weird. It's like the ball floats.
SPEAKER_00Because it's a wiffle ball, right?
SPEAKER_02Per se, yes.
SPEAKER_00Oh god, I'm tired. This is boring. I'm kidding.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah, it's it's it's it is it a wiffle ball? Or it's just like it right? Yeah, something like it. I don't can't recall if it has holes in it or not. I don't know. But it like floats. Like it's not like when you serve like a tennis ball, like it comes whizzing by you.
SPEAKER_01That's dense and like so.
SPEAKER_02This is like you could like boop.
SPEAKER_01And it's yeah. Oh, oh, somebody would probably get skinned up legs. Probably should wear knee pads and shin guards and stuff.
SPEAKER_02Yes, absolutely, David. You should wear shin guards and knee pads. Could you imagine first pickleball outing, please do?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That'll be fun.
SPEAKER_02Showing up like a RoboCop over there.
SPEAKER_01But I guess my point though is like different things that's just all that they're about. That that people take one little hobby and like That's their life. That's their life. Right. Kind of like my dad now in gardening.
SPEAKER_02Well, a lot of people look at runners.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah. Yeah. That's it. Do you fall into any kind of thing?
SPEAKER_02Right now, no. Well, but like I don't think I fell into anything, really, because I was doing like kickball, softball, all that all intertwining into one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like your brother is all softball.
SPEAKER_01Right now, yeah. I can't stop.
SPEAKER_02Stop fucking going, motherfucker. I can't stop.
SPEAKER_01Um what time is it?
SPEAKER_02I might get me some coffee. At 2 45? It's it's okay.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_02And then I'll probably just take a straight nap. I'm telling you, it's all over the place right now. Okay, so you literally I will tell you, I'm not an emotional person yet, but that may be coming down the line. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_01Emotional person yet.
SPEAKER_02I'm not like in my emotions yet. Where everything makes me cry.
SPEAKER_01Oh god, when does that happen?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I don't please let me know.
SPEAKER_01We'll take a hiatus when that happens. We'll we'll be on uh um we'll be on a summer break.
SPEAKER_02Can we get to 50 episodes first?
SPEAKER_01Well, I don't know. That's gonna depend on you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, this is 30.
SPEAKER_01Something.
SPEAKER_0238?
SPEAKER_01Um maybe.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Maybe. I think. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Damn it. I'll see you next week.
SPEAKER_01Like I just Well, if you start crying in the middle of an episode, I'm just gonna pack up and leave.
SPEAKER_02I can't handle this shit.
SPEAKER_01I'm done. I quit. So Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_02Oh man.
SPEAKER_01Alright, well, clearly we need coffee. Yeah, a nap.
SPEAKER_02And David needs to probably take a shit over there, but Oh no, I don't.
SPEAKER_01But I probably need to go to the store.
SPEAKER_02I'm mewing. Alright, guys, we'll see you next week.
SPEAKER_01Peace out.
