SPEAKER_01

Hey everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Unapologetically Us, the podcast. I'm David. And I am Jen. And welcome to a new week. I'm kind of tired. So Dude. I'm always tired. I've eaten a lot this today. You just had five tendies. I know, but I feel like I had a big breakfast and I probably shouldn't have ate that, but I did.

SPEAKER_00

What'd you get?

SPEAKER_01

Um for breakfast. Um some scrams with some some cheese and bacon and instead of grits, I got sausage gravy, and then instead of toast, I got a biscuit. So I had some bis a little bit of biscuit and gravy. It's pretty delicious.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, David is one to switch things out off the menu. You know, you are a substitution whore.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, how can I get what I want? Yeah, but not and not paying. I didn't want two biscuits and gravy. I mean, that's a meal by itself. I didn't need that.

SPEAKER_00

I just needed How many, how much was your upcharges?

SPEAKER_01

Me? Yeah. Um zero dollars.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, they did equal swaps?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I didn't even pay.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, for the love. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Ashley insisted. So thanks, Ashley. Since you've been you told me you've been watching.

SPEAKER_00

Ashley, the cousin.

SPEAKER_01

My cousin.

SPEAKER_00

Cousin Ashley. Yeah, cousin Ashley. Thank you so much for feeding David this morning. I just fed him for lunch.

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm she didn't want any money. I didn't ask for it.

SPEAKER_00

Did I ask you for any money?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you told me how much my my portion was.

SPEAKER_00

You asked me how much was it? And I said it was$19. I said, and yours was eight something or whatever. So I'm gonna send you some dollars. We'll see what happens. Well, I'll let you know.

SPEAKER_01

Um I've just completely forgot everything else.

SPEAKER_00

I know we talked about the plastics and all that other stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

What happened to the mosquito trucks?

SPEAKER_01

What are you talking about?

SPEAKER_00

Do you remember when we were kids? Just kids. Like you could you could have been anywhere.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And there was a truck that would blow through the neighborhoods and spray mosquito shit in the air. Like, what happened to those? I mean, I'm I I I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

They're extinct.

SPEAKER_00

They must be. Because let me tell you something.

SPEAKER_01

That had to have been your but I don't think that they did that.

SPEAKER_00

Primary up in up in Maryland. Like I saw them all the time. But I remember in the first neighborhood we lived in by your house. But I'm wondering, they would blow through there. And like you would run inside because that shit smells so.

SPEAKER_01

So I think, and I don't know this, I'm just kind of makes sense. Especially since we're grown and I live in a HOA. Um, I think that was a paid service that your HOA paid for in that neighborhood. I think so.

SPEAKER_00

Because if you look on your property tax. I just got our property tax bill. Like the bill was paid in April, and it's mosquito services. And I pay like$200 a year. And I'm like, where? Because I get bit to all kind of hell.

SPEAKER_01

I don't have that in my butt you need to look.

SPEAKER_00

It's under the it's under the garbage.

SPEAKER_01

See, I don't have any of that because I don't have garbage pickup in my neighborhood. Well we have it in my neighborhood.

SPEAKER_00

I obviously am gonna pay for garbage pickup.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Well, where's my mosquito truck?

SPEAKER_01

I don't have a driveway, so we have to use the dumpster, we don't get garbage pickup. Now the houses on the side, they have garages and driveways, so they get garbage pickup. Um, I have to use the dumpster.

SPEAKER_00

What happens if they get caught putting in the dumpster? They're allowed. Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Everybody pays the same. So if they would have broken down our HOA fees by unit type, then they would not be able to. But everybody in my neighborhood pays the same price. So it used to be that way, and then they changed it because they couldn't police it well.

SPEAKER_00

Either way. I want to know where my mosquito repellent is.

SPEAKER_01

I get sprayed, but we pay for that.

SPEAKER_00

Where?

SPEAKER_01

My neighborhood pays a company to come in and spray.

SPEAKER_00

And you you have no mosquitoes.

SPEAKER_01

No. But we get sprayed, I don't know how often, but regularly. Put the little tag in the yard.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think that that's for mosquitoes. I think that's for like lawn bugs.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know what it is. I'm I don't give a shit what it is. A bug man comes through.

SPEAKER_00

The mosquitoes to die.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

But do you remember what I'm talking about? I I do, but I don't know how that was a creepy truck that had like this big thing in the bed of the truck.

SPEAKER_01

And it just sprayed, but I I mean, I don't, it's not like a huge memory, but I remember.

SPEAKER_00

I just can't remember if it was from like the city or like you would see those. I was too young to really even imagine that. But I'm just saying, like I noticed mosquito on control on the tax bill.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe it's for downtown. So and everybody gets to pay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I want to know, I want to know where my mosquito guy is.

SPEAKER_01

So I'll have to I mean, I know I won't have it, but so there's no point to look.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because I don't yeah. Interesting. Um so um one of the things I wanted to bring up, so everybody knows that Jen and I cruise all the time. Well, Monday, so by the time y'all are watching this, they will be on a cruise.

SPEAKER_00

Oh god.

SPEAKER_01

So our siblings are are really good friends, and so they're going on a cruise with their friends. Um, they leave Monday, so they'll be back on Friday morning. Uh, I can't wait to hear about it. I know. So I had to let your brother borrow a suitcase. I know, I had to give him backpacks and everything. He he's not a traveler.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. The amount of things I said, I looked at Shannon and I said, It's like David 2.0. Like, she's like telling me like all this stuff that like your brother like wants to pack.

SPEAKER_01

Oh. Look, I I didn't get the packing.

SPEAKER_00

Ten hats, because he's gotta have his hats, matches, suit, and I'm like, it's like my me and my watch bands. My god.

SPEAKER_01

It's like me and my watch bands. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's him and I'm like, you gotta be you gotta be shitting me right now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And so Shannon was saying, I said, you know, you have a you have a good d diverse group going.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um I think some of the others will keep them out of trouble.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think Shannon will be in trouble. I think she's going to have to put a leash on your brother.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

Um He's already like He's already, he's he's already trying to reserve.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. He's already reserved things. He's al and I said I I had I told him a couple of things, and he's like, oh, I haven't seen that. I'll have to look.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I mean, he's like He's like all into like the sports competition stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's already scheduled.

SPEAKER_00

Shannon's like, if I can't find Nick, I'm just gonna go up on the sport deck. Yeah, because he'll be there. I'll find him there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

And um, yeah, that's great for him.

SPEAKER_01

He he's joined like, I think, all the tournaments that he can. Oh my god. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, how does how is he not overlapping? Well He's gonna come back to the sore.

SPEAKER_01

I wanna know how early he has planned anything. Right. Because he's gonna miss half of it.

SPEAKER_00

Right. He's he's definitely. Did they get a balcony room? Yes, Shannon got it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. They did get a balcony. Okay, so at least they'll have some sunlight so it won't be a complete cave. Because that would be bad news, especially just for my brother alone. Like he would never wake up. He would miss the oh, it's time to go home. Like, you know, I mean, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

He might be better than that now, but uh yeah, dude, like she said that he as soon as like he I guess he downloaded the Royal app or whatever, like he went on and plugged in, or she might have plugged him in or whatever, and he's going through the day and he's like, Oh, I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna do this, and I'm like, Yeah, okay, buddy. Right. You just wait.

SPEAKER_01

You just wait. Because, yeah, because I mean, we did what two things on the uh last time. We we actually went to the the aqua show. And oh, and then we did uh we were gonna do Hideaway Beach, canceled that obviously because of the weather. And then we did the private island, other other private islands.

SPEAKER_00

And other things that we did on the schedule. Like we would look at the time and be like, oh, okay, let's go check out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we just kind of check things out. We didn't really like schedule and go. So Nick's gonna be one of those old ladies that's like, you know, got an itinerary.

SPEAKER_00

Like I I I really think I can't wait to hear about it. Yeah. Oh my god. But yeah, the packing. The packing about the packing.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, he can't have that many clothes.

SPEAKER_00

That's not It's four days! Like, what the fuck do y'all need this much clothes for?

SPEAKER_01

Hello. I left eight shoes. You did! I told him I said, when you get there, can you go to the front desk and ask them if they have my clothes?

SPEAKER_00

You just reply to the email. Yes, if you found my clothes, just send them back with my.

SPEAKER_01

I haven't heard from them lately. I think they're all MIA. But um, this was a replacement, so I've already purchased everything else.

SPEAKER_00

We knew that a couple weeks ago, didn't you? Yeah, but then went and rebought the whole thing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but now I've gotten it all so now I've been able to do that.

SPEAKER_00

You've rebought the whole damn thing.

SPEAKER_01

So well, most of everything.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, this is this is gonna be quite interesting. And I'm wondering if he's going to I mean, I don't know when your brother's gonna be able to like go back again because of work and softball and all that other stuff.

SPEAKER_01

So they wanted him to play today, and I'm like, um, you need to remember you go on a cruise Monday. Yeah. So if something and I know he, you know, nobody goes to play ball with the intentions to get hurt, right? Right. But what if it I said it does, yeah, just take it easy. So somebody last night at his game was like, Are you playing this weekend? And he was like, No, I can't. I've I've just got a lot to do. He's like, I I'm going on a trip on Monday, and I I I just got a lot to do. And I'm like, thank God. Because that's what I told him to say. I said, You don't owe anybody an explanation.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Just say, I can't, I'm too busy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Leave it at that. And he's like, but he's like, Oh, he's like, Oh, but I feel like I'm lying. Yeah, yeah. So I was like, okay, cool. He he's got it. So he's not playing, he's getting ready.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder what your what is your dad gonna do for the night for the whole week?

SPEAKER_01

Probably not have a headache. Um I would imagine like he'll probably be able to get a lot of work done.

SPEAKER_00

Um way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because um that's the sometimes that's the problem. It's not always by any means, not, but if they have a late night or something, he is not an early riser.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So um, and he's never been, ever. So trying to get him to like trying to get him up to go to school. Oh yeah. Oh that so, but you it's like that a lot of times, you know, i if if they've had a late night. If there's no late night and they just normal night, then he's probably up just fine. But, you know, they're not usually if a if there is a party night or something that Nick partakes in before work, they're not getting there until like 10 o'clock. And I'm like, oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

So is your dad still a hundred percent working?

SPEAKER_01

Um, no, I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00

So do you think he just didn't schedule anything this for this upcoming week for work?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I didn't even ask.

SPEAKER_00

Um You're usually in everybody's damn business.

SPEAKER_01

Not not in not in their work business.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Not at all.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder how much gardening he's gonna get done.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, he'd be gardening every day. He brought me a bunch of onions last night to the field. So that was cool. Yeah, so now I have some more. Because I want to make a what you couldn't spare any?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, he only brought me four.

SPEAKER_01

I'm I'm about to make a French onion meatloaf. I saw it on social media somewhere. So yeah. It'll be fun. I'll tell you how it tastes.

SPEAKER_00

Great.

SPEAKER_01

Do you like onions like that now?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. French onion meatloaf?

SPEAKER_01

You use like a packet of French onion. French onion liptin like soup, and then you make uh you also make some type of uh onion soup ish gravy that you go on top. Not a glaze, but I don't I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

So no ketchups involved.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

I think that's what throws me off of the whole meatloaf thing.

SPEAKER_01

What do you mean?

SPEAKER_00

Is the ketchup.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

It's a lot of ketchup. And then you slather that on there on the top, and it's just more ketchup. And I'm just like, it's too much ketchup. Why not just have hamburgers? You know? Right.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, yeah, because if you if I just eat a plain burger with no cheese, just a burger, and I put some ketchup on it, I mean it's really a mini meatload.

SPEAKER_00

Pretty much a mini meatloaf.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So depending on what seasoning you. I mean, what makes the meatloaf the meatloaf over a hamburger? Because you slice it.

SPEAKER_01

Are you are are you serious?

SPEAKER_00

I don't make it. That's why I don't like it, but I don't make it. I know you have to put like egg and all this other stuff, like in the meat loaf.

SPEAKER_01

But loaf is the key word. You you bake it as a loaf, whether you put it in a loaf pan or you put it in a long. I don't understand that. So it's just meat.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

It's just meat. But what I'm saying is it's just like a hamburger.

SPEAKER_00

But because you cut-a-hamburger! Why? Why go to the whole thing of putting it in a loaf pan? It's just like it's a fancier.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But all the other ingredients.

SPEAKER_00

You can put the ingredients in the hamburger meat if you're making hamburgers.

SPEAKER_01

And a lot of people do.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

But I just buy them already made, so I don't have to do anything. Um, but yeah, I'm gonna try that. So that's what I'm using the onions for. So I don't have any extras to spare.

SPEAKER_00

How many you're gonna use four onions in one loaf?

SPEAKER_01

They used a lot of onions.

SPEAKER_00

That is an onion loaf. That is not a meat loaf.

SPEAKER_01

Look, they used a ton of onions, so I'm gonna just do what they said.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna need a picture of this. How much meat are you supposed to use?

SPEAKER_01

I don't even know. I gotta watch the whole video again. And if there's any onions left over that I don't need to use, then I will share. I don't want your sloppy second onions. I wanted them. I'm not gonna- They're not gonna be cut.

SPEAKER_00

I understand that.

SPEAKER_01

If I realize I don't need as many as I think that it needs.

SPEAKER_00

Tainted onions.

SPEAKER_01

What are you talking about? How?

SPEAKER_00

Because they went into your house.

SPEAKER_01

They're sitting in my kitchen. What you're an absolute idiot.

SPEAKER_00

I can't- You're an idiot for trying to make four fucking onions into a meatloaf of a pan that's. They're not huge onions. They're not. No, they're they're about like that. All right, you might only need two then. I'll give you that. Because the ones in the store are like this. No, no, no. No.

SPEAKER_01

These are homeboys.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I was thinking. I was thinking it was gonna be this big. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

No, these are like at most baseball size.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Like onions, I feel like. Um, the last set that I got was.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, so I feel like from their house.

SPEAKER_01

So, you know, it's not they're, yeah, they're not huge.

SPEAKER_00

Jeez. Like Shannon's done started a garden now. Like she's got like Oh, over there, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

They went before the game. And to check it, check it out and probably give tips, unwarranted tips. I'm just kidding. I wonder who's taking care of it all week. I guess dad's gonna go over there.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I mean, unless she's given Brad some uh instructions, some instructions and tips. What is she She's got pumpkins that she's getting ready for? Like apparently you gotta plant them in fucking Fedboard.

SPEAKER_01

Well I guess that way they can be jack-o'-lanterns in October.

SPEAKER_00

She's got those. She's got beans, she's got what kind of beans? Green beans.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

She's got tomatoes. I don't think she has onions. What I'm like.

SPEAKER_01

Are these in are these in the ground or raised beds?

SPEAKER_00

I think these are in the ground.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Like she's done horticultured or whatever over there at at the at the racetrack house or the racing house. And I'm like, you have a whole backyard over here. Do you really think your dad is gonna allow them to dig up anything here?

SPEAKER_01

I think we would have to do raised beds, but I don't think you could do that.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I guess you can bring them in my backyard because there ain't no damn grass back there anyway. Um but yeah, Shad is she's uh So this whole gardening thing has like become a thing. Uh she she'll send pictures and uh to me and mom, and she'll send a picture of some leafy shit and then another leafy shit, and I'm like, what am I looking at here? And she goes, Oh, well, the first one's my pumpkins, and I'll and I'll go back to two weeks ago and I'm like, cool. How didn't you even know that?

SPEAKER_01

Dad, he'll point, he's like, Okay, that's that, that's that, that's that. And I'm like, cool. Okay, so when this comes in, just make sure I get to.

SPEAKER_00

So let me ask you this, because I know your dad's been doing this a couple years, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Many years now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, he didn't do it over at the Hood Landing House.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so at that house, all of the trees, all every tree that is in that yard. Well, was in that yard that was in that yard was nothing but garden.

SPEAKER_00

Oh wow, okay.

SPEAKER_01

It was uh almost an acre and a half of garden.

SPEAKER_00

Holy crap.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That he did?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. We had a whole cornfield.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, I don't remember this. This must have been before my dear. A cornfield?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was on the other side. Wow. And then we had So he's like We had a goat cart track around it.

SPEAKER_00

I knew about the goat cart track.

SPEAKER_01

To the center, because it was two, two, two fields.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So like all the vegetables and um fruits and stuff were over this side, and then like the corn and some other stuff were over there. Maybe that was all corn. I don't know. I don't remember. But yeah, we had huge garden.

SPEAKER_00

Do you have pictures of this that you may have stashed away somewhere or maybe your mom?

SPEAKER_01

Maybe. I'm I mean, I'm sure there's some type of pictures. I'll have to dig around and see. We were talking about that the other day, and we need to start at least beginning. And and dad was like while Nick's gone. No.

SPEAKER_00

Because he's gonna want to keep a bunch of stuff.

SPEAKER_01

No, he's not. He's not. We've already talked about it. He's not, but siblings need to come, you know, and all of that. And so, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So back to the back to the garden. Um knowing this room, I think this is like a 10 by 13. No, yes, this is a 10 by 13. My bedroom is 13 by 13. So is this like the size of like your dad's garden, or is this like the size of a piece of the garden? Like, would this all be like tomatoes in here? Um, and then he has another little plot somewhere else for other things.

SPEAKER_01

He's got raised beds closer to the house and then in the other field. So their land is like a a weird pie shape. But when you normally think of a pie shape of a house, you would think that like either the front yard would be the point and then the backyard would be big, or it's vice versa, where the front yard's big and then it comes to a point.

SPEAKER_00

What is it like this?

SPEAKER_01

Theirs is sideways. So their driveway goes here that actually goes to the property behind them. Right. So they have this small triangle over here. So yeah. And he has that garden, the in-ground garden over here, and then on the hit there where their house is and the building, they have raised beds on that side.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So, and there's I mean, there's just stuff everywhere.

SPEAKER_00

So nothing behind.

SPEAKER_01

No, that's somebody else's house.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So, yeah, it's like it's pretty big. It's got like trellises and poles and all kinds of stuff coming out of the ground, and he's run pipes under the like in the ground to get to get water over there. Oh yeah, it's a whole it's a whole production.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, if it makes him happy, I mean it keeps him busy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Any more on doing a produce stand or anything?

SPEAKER_01

I don't I don't know. I have to ask. Um, but I know that was the initial the initial one. Right. So we'll see. Um But I I think maybe he re realizes there's so much that goes into it. So um, but I mean as well.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean, I'll take some stuff and give him some money.

SPEAKER_01

We'll go out there.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna have to go out there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We'll we'll I can call and find out what they have. Like, okay, can you give us a list? And then we'll put in our order and then we can go and get it, and then uh we'll do it one day, and then we'll go over to the Boogerville tavern. Oh god. And have a drink and make it a day.

SPEAKER_00

It's literally 30 minutes away, David. It's it's not like a day. I mean, we might make it a day. It's gotta be a Saturday, though. Right, right, right.

SPEAKER_01

That's exactly. Well, yeah, it'll be fine. We'll we'll do all of that, but we'll have to put in our orders. And it depends on you know the time of the year. Right, you know. So right now he's got some peppers and he he grows dattle peppers and stuff to make dattle pepper sauce. It's pretty good. It's got a cake to it though. Like a pretty good cake.

SPEAKER_00

The sauce.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Okay, well But it's good.

SPEAKER_00

You can bland down the pepper a little bit if you make it into something else.

SPEAKER_01

He's not oh. Yeah, but he he's not gonna do that. Oh, I know. Take the sauce and do that yourself. I love how the dog is not interested today.

SPEAKER_00

She's not inter Yeah. She came in here earlier, but she's uh She is now on back on her chair. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, well, I guess she doesn't want to see anybody today. And the cat is watching from her bedroom door.

SPEAKER_00

No, the cat does not have her own bedroom. She just has a room with all her stuff in it.

SPEAKER_01

And she's protecting it right now.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, well, as soon as she hears that dog get off that, she runs.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know how long she's been there.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'm waiting for the day that the cat skibity paps her in the face because jealous Janet in there won't allow the cat on the back patio.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no? That's hers?

SPEAKER_00

That everything is everything is Remy's.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

There is no nothing. You don't share people, you don't share like the poor cat has no toys. Like, no toys at all.

SPEAKER_01

Because she steals them all and makes them hers?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

She's rude.

SPEAKER_00

She is rude.

SPEAKER_01

She takes after you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, whatever.

SPEAKER_01

So you know what else I was thinking? Okay, wait. Does anybody in your family have your last name? Other than other than your father.

SPEAKER_00

Uh yes. He has a brother.

SPEAKER_01

And does this He had no kids? Okay, so it dies with us. Yeah. Yeah. My name we were talking about this at breakfast.

SPEAKER_00

Unless Nick, you know.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, Nick might have a kid in some some point in life, but I doubt it. Or it's already here. I mean, but point is it doesn't have our last name if that exists. I mean, I'm sure it doesn't. But but yeah, so m my last name's gonna die with us too.

SPEAKER_00

So oh man, I was thinking about this and i it was a thought that I had. It might come back to me. But um Yeah. So I was curious because I didn't know did not get married or have kids.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Ever.

SPEAKER_01

So your name's dying too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's deceased.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Dead.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't even know how that came up at breakfast, but it did.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no, the Phillips name does move along.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, there's three boys in that family.

SPEAKER_00

Not by Ashley, though!

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Ashley will not carry on the name, but I mean, girls don't usually carry it on anyway.

SPEAKER_00

I just meant like I don't see her having kids. Right, right. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

No, she's not a kids person.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

She's like us.

SPEAKER_00

Shannon is more of like a I don't want to be near anybody person.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, yeah. I would prefer that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, well, that seems to be the road you're going down.

SPEAKER_01

And I like it.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think you do. I don't know. I don't know. Um, yeah. Conspiracy theories. Oh god. Okay. When you think of someone that says conspiracy theorist, like the person, what is one of the things that people classify them of owning?

SPEAKER_01

Of owning?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. A conspiracy theorist owns what? The tinfoil hat.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Now. This is how stupid I am. Um you put the tinfoil hat on, right? When you're telling your conspiracy theory. Right. I thought that it was for you to collect the information of the theory.

SPEAKER_01

I've never even heard of this. What? Like a tinfoil hat? I've heard of that, but not in that manner.

SPEAKER_00

Well, what do you think the tinfoil hat's for?

SPEAKER_01

I just thought they were stupid.

SPEAKER_00

They just put on a hat.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, not it metaphorically.

SPEAKER_00

What do you think? It's like what was that show back in the 90s? Not 30 rock, but the one where they oh no, the aliens and they would wear the tin the the the yes! Yes! Oh yes, yes, yes. So you just thought that they were just idiots. Okay. So suppose this this isn't this bit's not even gonna be great now. So to put the tinfoil hat on, it's to keep people from hearing or your thoughts? Yes, or or taking away your thoughts like the aliens or whatever. I thought the tinfoil hat was to receive the information from the aliens. And let me tell you, mom, Shannon, some people from work, and who else did I tell? I told somebody else the same thing.

SPEAKER_01

And they were like, are you Were you taking a poll on yourself at this point?

SPEAKER_00

I was just saying, what is the tinfoil hat for?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. And they don't.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I'm going to admit that I was wrong. Yes. I I I was very stupid and wrong. I never even heard it. Are you serious? Do I live in a rock under a rock? David, yes. If I if I don't tell you to watch something, you're not gonna go find it. Sometimes I will. I don't think so.

SPEAKER_01

I'm trying to watch a show.

SPEAKER_00

You're too busy with your No, not always.

SPEAKER_01

That's a lie.

SPEAKER_00

What are you watching right now?

SPEAKER_01

No. I think it's called Is It Big Mistakes or something?

SPEAKER_00

With oh, is it good? Um so I have it in my list.

SPEAKER_01

Well, so again, I'm to the third episode and I haven't and I have not made it more than five minutes before I fall asleep.

SPEAKER_00

But it's because I have tried to watch stuff during like a Saturday.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's what I'm saying. It it it I try to watch it in bed as I'm like exhausted already. Right. So yeah, but I will start it over again and I mean it happened twice now, but I'm gonna try to watch it during the day where I think that's what you need to be doing with any damn show, I tell you.

SPEAKER_00

Well Yellowstone.

SPEAKER_01

Um Well, Yellowstone, that's just a piece of work because I'm not um it I'm just never gonna make that. I just just so you know. Like, I don't know what it is. It it it I'm just not gonna.

SPEAKER_00

But I really think you would like Beth Dutton's character.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, maybe so, but I can just like a bitch to like a bitch. I don't have to watch the show to like the bitch.

SPEAKER_00

And why did you see this this small snippet?

SPEAKER_01

In real life, that bitch got an accent.

SPEAKER_00

She does, she's English.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_00

But I saw her on a uh Do you realize that a lot of actors have accents? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And a lot of singers and musicians have accents, and I'm like, But when you sing, it doesn't it doesn't come out. I don't know why.

SPEAKER_00

The Mexicans do.

SPEAKER_01

Because they're s they're singing in a langu in their language.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

They're singing in Spanish.

SPEAKER_00

They're still singing in their language. But their accent goes away? Yeah. No! Yeah, it doesn't. Okay, the um the Celtic festival that I just went to.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

They were s singing in their Irish accents. It did not just fucking.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe some do and some don't. I I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Like you can hear a little bit with Ed Sheeran that he still holds on to his accent.

SPEAKER_01

I never hear it.

SPEAKER_00

But there are others, and I'm like, like Adele.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know? Yeah. You don't I don't catch her accent a whole lot.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, every great now and again a few word here or there might. Um, and well, and the actors, that really trips me out though. Right, because you see them on like red carpets in your or a talk show or something, and I'm like, wait, time out, rewind. Like, okay, let's try this again. Like, may maybe I'm crazy at the moment. Oh, okay. They really have that accent.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's crazy. Um, so I'm I still watch it.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder how hard they have to work to like speak in our accent vocal coaches and stuff.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, speak time. But but I heard it's hard.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um, and a lot of them, because it's so difficult, um, I still watch Grey's Anatomy. Um like until it until the show are they still doing new seasons?

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, until it dies, I'm gonna watch it.

SPEAKER_00

This is literally like a Bravo show that just never fucking ends.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it's not.

SPEAKER_00

I and I honestly I just can't. I can't I couldn't go past when everybody died. If you haven't watched it, sorry.

SPEAKER_01

Well, if you haven't watched it. By now.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, hello, I started watching it at season 17.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but did you watch all the 17 up years uh seasons? I caught up. Right? You did cut catch up. Yeah, I think it's on like 20-something now. Well, I know it is 20-something now, but I don't know which one. 23, 26, I don't know, something like that. Anyway, but there are it might as well just be a fucking daytime soap opera at this point. Well, I would say a nighttime one, but okay. But yeah, but there are several actors on there that are one's Irish, and I don't even know where the one uh other one is from. I don't think she's English, but uh I don't know. Anyway, but to hear them talk in real life and then like I can't I don't see them in other than their character, and I'm like so thrown off. I'm like, the f how? They are like so good, but they've both said that they kind of stay in that character as soon as they get to work. That is their character, that's how they talk the entire time. That way they don't come in and out. And I think Tom Holland, Super Spider-Man, I think he did the same thing.

SPEAKER_00

Is he the one that married Zendaya?

SPEAKER_01

Zendaya?

SPEAKER_00

Whatever, Daya Dea. Um, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I I do think that did they get married?

SPEAKER_00

He's the one that did the umbrella um on uh uh the karaoke thing? Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Uh with LL Cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, Liv Sync Bell. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, alright. So I I yeah, that was him.

SPEAKER_00

I don't even think I've ever seen him in a movie.

SPEAKER_01

Have you ever watched Spider-Man?

SPEAKER_00

Not since Toby Maguire.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well he was the one after that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So honestly, I've never watched any of the Spider-Mans. I've watched one. The first one, and that's it. But um, yeah. But he has he has an accent, and he I think he said I was watching um the Graham Norton show. I just see the clips on on socials. Um, they're always hysterical. And it's they're based out in light London or wherever they're at over there.

SPEAKER_00

If you could have an accent, an English accent all the way. You want English?

SPEAKER_01

It's it's a toss-up between English and Australian.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I think I I've Irish accent all day. Okay. Yeah. Is there a reason why, or you just you just like it? Uh I just like it. Yeah. So my phone, I either have talk in an English accent or an Australian accent. Just because I mean I'm never gonna talk that way.

SPEAKER_00

Shannon said that she would want uh a British accent. She has a pretty good one. So she said if she could she could.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no. So hopefully she doesn't talk like that in public, make a fool of herself. I'm kidding. Um I don't even think I could do uh an accent in any kind and get away with it.

SPEAKER_00

Get away with it like without busting out laughing or saying it correctly.

SPEAKER_01

Either. Either. Okay. I th I yeah, I think I would like laugh or you know, something. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00
